Flokkr, which the Cards.LGBT greeting cards shop belongs to, is a platform for the LGBTQ+ community that has the privacy of its users at its very heart. There are not a lot of online shops that take your privacy as seriously as we do.
At a Glance
Against all common practice in the world of e-commerce, we honestly do things differently:
We do not use tracking pixels or similar technology. Most online shops collect and share a huge amount of data with third parties about everything you do and look at on a website so they can build a profile about you and to target you with more personalised ads on social media and across the internet. Not with us. Whatever happens on Flokkr, stays on Flokkr.
We do not use cookies. That’s why we don’t have to show you an annoying cookie banner. Only when you add at least one item to your online shopping trolley, the trolley information is stored in the “Local Storage” memory of your browser. It is completely anonymous and not used for any kind of tracking.
We will not spam you. We are honered to have you as our customer. If you like what we do and offer, you will hopefully remember us and come back in the future. We will not abuse your trust by sending you unwanted marketing material. We’d be delighted if you sign up for our occasional newsletter, but that is completely up to you.
We do not use third party plugins. The vast majority of websites uses a range of (often “free”) plugins for building their websites that allow third parties to track users through the back door. Those tools range from more obvious tools like tracking pixels, to less obvious ones like embedded fonts and videos, social media and link sharing buttons. The pure fact that they’re on a website means that a third party can collect data about your visit to the website to build an enormous profile about your interests and behaviour. We don’t use any of those tools on this website. We embedd only fonts hosted on our own website and have developed our own privacy-first analytics tool in-house, which only records basic and completely anonymous website access statistics. This data cannot be linked to any individuals or even an IP address.
We use Stripe to process your payments securely. Stripe is a well established and trusted partner for securely processing payments when you place an order. Flokkr does not store or get access to your full credit card numbers, bank details etc. See Stripe Privacy Policy for more.
We use your data responsibly. We respect you and your data in return for your trust in us.

This Privacy Policy refers to the Cards.LGBT online shop and website (“Service”). The Service is owned and run by Flokkr Ltd. Other services provided by Flokkr Ltd have their own policies.
Who is responsible for my personal information?
Flokkr Ltd (a company registered in England and Wales with company number 9089540 and registered address at 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom) trading as Cards.LGBT is the data controller of the personal information that is collected about you when you use the Service (referred to in this Privacy Policy as “Cards.LGBT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This means that we control the ways your personal information are collected in connection with the Service and determine how and why such personal information is used for the purposes of applicable data protection law.
What personal information do we collect?
Personal information (or personal data) is any information which identifies you personally, whether directly (for example, your name) or indirectly (for example, information about your use of the Service).
When you place an order on our website, we ask you to provide personal information such as your name, shipping address, email address and payment details. Those details are collected by our payment processing partner Stripe, which shares some of the data with us in order for us to fulfil the order, such as your name and shipping address. Stripe does not share the full payment details, such as your credit card details, with us. Please refer to Stripe Privacy Policy for more.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we will store your email address until you unsubscribe.
For what purposes do we use your personal information?
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To process and fulfil your orders.
- To provide customer support.
- To handle returns and refunds.
- To comply with the law.
- To protect our business from abuse.
- To publish legitimate customer reviews.
- To inform you about news and offers (if you explicitly gave your permission).
With whom do we share your personal information?
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share your personal information with a limited number trusted partners in order to provide you our Service. This currently includes:
- Stripe to process payments.
- Royal Mail (or other carriers) to ship the goods you ordered.
For how long do we keep your personal information for?
We will retain your personal information for as long as we need to provide you with our Service or as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce any agreements relating to our Service. If you sign up to our newsletter we will retain your data until you unsubscribe or emails can no longer be delivered to your mailbox.
What are my privacy rights?
You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to amend errors and to delete your personal data. If you would like to make such a request, please send an email to support@flokkr.com. Generally, you can make such a request for free, but we reserve the right to charge a fee of up to ÂŁ10 for any excessively large or repetitive requests.
